TROAS. Alexandria Troas. Commodus, 177-192. 'As' (Bronze, 25 mm, 8.35 g, 7 h). IMP CAI (sic!) M AVR COMMODVS Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus to right, seen from behind. Rev. COL AVG TROAD Marsyas standing left on base, raising his right hand and holding wine-skin over his left shoulder. Bellinger A209 and 229. RPC IV online 169. A very attractive piece with a lovely reverse. Minor smoothing, otherwise, good very fine.
